Which is better: a winner or a loser.
The answer is simple, a winner.
Yet, as a society, we are devaluing the idea of the winner.
We want to make everyone feel equal. We strive for equality in an environment that doesn’t reward everyone equally.
We reward winners and we disregard losers.
Losers don’t get the girl. They don’t get the job and they don’t make the deals. They don’t get the big contracts and they don’t live life to the fullest.
They are too busy worrying about the winners. They are too busy asking for equality. They complain about the president. They complain about the cost of their fancy pumpkin vanilla lattes while in line at Starbucks.
They fucking cry about everything but won’t change anything.
As a society, we are slowly accepting the idea of the loser.
At a certain point, girls are okay with the nice guy. They are saying they are happy with dad bods, making it okay for dads to be fat and round since they are busy raising fat and round children.
We are saying that it is okay to be happy with your fat body. Fuck change and discipline and winning. Just be happy in your own skin while you inhale another McDonald’s milkshake and tune into another fucking season of The Kardashians.
Learn from the Kardashians, don’t watch them. They make millions of dollars having cameras follow them around. They are building a fucking empire with those cameras.
They get to workout and talk drama and watch their dad turn into their mom while making millions and millions of dollars.
They are winners. It is a sad thing for me to write about on a website that is about building legends and icons, but it is true.
Everyone knows the Kardashians because they are winners. Yet, they achieve their pinnacle through the failings and misgivings of teenage girls and boys around the world. They exploit losers.
This season (2018), the San Francisco 49ers paid a brand new quarterback $137.5 million. Jimmy Garoppolo is a relatively new and untested professional player except for one thing: he is undefeated in seven games.
The 49ers view him as a winner, so they paid him like a winner.
Losers don’t get paid nearly as much and even a record of 4-3 would have given Garoppolo a contract with millions less. Even a few losses would have been enough for the 49ers to view him differently. Right now, he is viewed as an undefeated champion that can’t lose.
He is currently the highest paid player in the NFL as a relatively new and untested professional player. But he is a winner.
And it pays to be a winner.
You have to cultivate the mindset of a predator like a lion. A conqueror like Genghis Khan. A business titan like John D. Rockefeller. A visionary like Steve Jobs. A president like Donald Trump.
Regardless of the shackles of society, winners will always rise to the top.
Sometimes they look like plastic people on a TV show whining about their messed up little lives.
Sometimes they are unproven players in a high-stakes environment.
But if you are a winner, you will be recognized.
After all, a dad bod is fine until a man that lift’s weights and eats steaks stands near you and makes you look like a fat little boy.
Fat people almost always lose, because being fat is a symptom of being a loser.
I write this because I want you to change. I want you to become a winner.
